📌 AMC Theatres added support for Dogecoin

The U.S. cinema chain has integrated the ability to pay in Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB) and other cryptocurrencies into its mobile app. According to the company’s CEO Adam Aron, the innovation became possible thanks to the BitPay cryptocurrency service.

📌 Twitter has implemented a takeover protection plan

Twitter’s board of directors announced the unanimous adoption of a shareholder rights plan following Ilon Musk’s bid to acquire the social network.

The initiative aims to realize the full value of investors’ investments in Twitter. The plan runs through April 14, 2023. The plan allows shareholders to buy additional corporate stock at a discount if any organization or individual acquires 15% or more of Twitter’s securities without board approval.

📌 Two competitors of Ethereum worth paying attention

The transition of Ethereum to version 2.0, the most anticipated event, solves the problem of high fees of the network with smart contracts, which absorbed 19.5% of the cryptocurrency market capitalization. 📌 Absolut launches a project in the Decentraland metaverse

Absolut celebrates its tenth anniversary and becomes part of the Decentraland Meta Universe with a project called Absolut Land. Participants will receive exclusive gear and rewards. Absolut Land is a Metaworld open to the public starting April 15. The event will be held at Decentraland, which is currently the Metaverse’s most valuable crypto project with a market capitalization in excess of $3.9 billion.
