📌 Chinese police uncovered a cryptocurrency pyramid scheme
Law enforcement authorities in China’s Gansu province arrested seven organizers of a multilevel pyramid scheme and seized more than 8.46 million XRP (~$5.4 million). In March 2021, law enforcement officers discovered that a cryptocurrency investment offering called Ripple UnionPay Community was being promoted through social platforms.

Titan has announced the creation of the Lumerin protocol, which will launch the world’s first decentralized P2P marketplace for computing power in Q2 2022. The developer called its new product a next-generation Bitcoin (BTC) mining concept.

A new memcoin based on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) called Web3Memes (W3M) stole a total of 625 BNB. The coin’s liquidity pools were depleted shortly after investors put their money into it.

CryptoPunks, an anonymous collector of non-exchangeable tokens (NFTs), withdrew from Sotheby’s auction. His collection of items was valued at more than $30 million, a move he made just minutes before the sale began.
